How do I make an initial appointment?

Email, call, or text Crocus Counseling with your name, contact information, and a brief description of the services you are seeking. We will get back with you within 1-2 business days to let you know if we think you'd be a good fit for an initial evaluation at Crocus, or if another facility would better serve your needs, and our availability.

What will the first appointment be like?

The first appointment will take approximately 60 minutes, and is a chance for you to get to know your counselor, for her to get to know you and your unique situation, and decide together whether this relationship might be helpful to you, what to work on, and how often to meet.

Your counselor will also go over some legal considerations in counseling, like how your confidentiality is protected and exceptions, give you a copy of our HIPPAA privacy practices, and her informed consent and professional disclosure statements.

How do I fill out my intake paperwork?

After you have scheduled an initial appointment, Crocus Counseling will initiate a  TherapyPortal account using your email and birthdate. You will receive an email with a link to complete account setup. Once that's done, you can log in and see intake documents that Crocus Counseling has shared with you. Fillable forms need to be downloaded, completed, then uploaded and signed. Some documents just need you to sign electronically that you've reviewed them.

How do I get a new TherapyPortal password?! I forgot mine!

Text or email Crocus Counseling, and we will reset your TherapyPortal password. You will receive a link via email to reset your password. Tedious, but keeps your data nice and safe 🙂
